Please join us for the launch of Sonic ARI, an artist-run initiative dedicated to sound art and music.We believe in the power of sound to connect, inspire, and transform. We seek to create a platform for artists to experiment, collaborate, and share their work outside of traditional models.
We have developed a dynamic and decentralised program of events, exhibitions, performances, and residencies, showcasing the work of sound artists in Hobart, Tasmania, and beyond. The first phase of these events will take place in February and March at various Hobart locations.
We invite you to help us celebrate the launch of Sonic ARI at SoHo Arts Back Studio with a live durational performance by the Tasmanian MIDI Orchestra from 6-9pm.
The Tasmanian MIDI Orchestra is a collective of electronic musicians. We meet regularly and improvise together. Shared MIDI signals, and durational sonic adventures. We embrace spontaneity and collaboration using live hardware. The TMO is open to anyone interested.
This is a ticketed event with a licensed bar. As an artist run initiative all money raised goes to paying our contributing artists.

Sonic ARI acknowledges the traditional owners and continuing custodians of nipaluna, the traditional owners of the land on which this event takes place.
