Songwriters Round: Kevin Smith, Ashley Heath, Danny Knowles

An evening of songs and collaboration featuring three Western North Carolina native singer-songwriters. All three have unique voices that blend well together and enjoy singing and playing songs together. The evening will consist of individual sets and to set of collaboration. If you like unique and original voices and great songs this is an evening not to miss. 

Ashley Heath

Bio: Ashley Heath was raised in Madison County and makes her home now in Black Mountain. With one of the strongest voices and guitar work to match she is at home singing blues and Rock influenced Tunes as well as personal remakes of Old Mountain ballads and traditional songs. Her music has taken her all over the country and overseas both solo and with her band The Heathens playing festivals such as Bonnaroo as well as opening for the likes of Pat Benatar.

Kevin Smith

Bio: Buncombe County native Kevin Smith can be found playing solo and with other configurations in the region and beyond as Planefolk. Kevin is known around the region and amongst other musicians as a songwriter's songwriter. He turns real life experience into songs and stories about love loss and leaving. He has been influenced by and compared to the likes of John Prine and Guy Clark.

Danny Knowles

Bio: Danny Knowles was born in the Burnsville area of Yancey County and now resides in Marshall. Danny is developing his own style as a songwriter and is also known for putting his own spin on lots of tasty covers of classics and others that are destined to be classics.
