Full of drive and passion, Billy and his band the Midwest Riders launched in Flint Michigan and their inaugural show was opening for The Swon Brothers in 2019. After writing original material and touring, the Riders’ rapid success was slowed but not halted when the world shut down in 2020. Determined to stay engaged and active, they built their own home studio, immersed themselves creatively and a first album was born. “Countryish” was recorded at the legendary Sound Emporium Studios in 2020 in Nashville, TN with some of the best players in the industry. Inspired by the roots of Southern rock and country music, torn by the feel of funk and soul, the Riders are now working on their second studio album at Rust Belt Studios. Their talent and camaraderie continues to energize and mesmerize audiences from the midwest to the deep south.

Jo Serrapere // Folk, roots, blues, roots rock, alt-country

Earthwork Collective artist Jo Serrapere (sarah-pear), a songwriter from Detroit, Michigan, started playing guitar at 23
when seeking out lessons from Delta Blues guitarist, Shari Kane. Shortly thereafter, Jo began writing her own songs while completing her college studies in clinical psychology. She now plays at music venues throughout the United States as well as maintaining a successful psychotherapy practice and raising her delightful daughter.
Whether recreating old classic songs or performing original songs in her own deeply confessional and comic styles, Jo’s music stands original while always reflecting her love of American roots music. Her eclectic writing and performance fuses elements of various modern and traditional folk music,
Delta and electric blues, roots rock, classic and alt-country, garage rock surf and swing.

Mikey Abbasspour // Eclectic, world music, folk, instrumental

Mikey draws from a worldly pool of influences and classical study to evoke wonders of nature and musical tales. As a songwriter, his influences include the likes of Radiohead, Nick Drake, and Wilco. He also is the frontman for alternative rock band, By the Willow.
