Join Greater Mankato Growth for Songs on the Lawn, presented by Xcel Energy, a free summer concert series bringing live music to the heart of downtown Mankato!
On June 18, enjoy the high-energy sounds of Fattenin’ Frogs, a six-piece roots rock & roll band from Minneapolis blending roots, folk, blues, and rock. Formed in 2009 by Chris Holm and Mark Larson (formerly of 4onthefloor), the band set out to dive deep into the spirit of 1960s rock & roll by turning up the intensity on traditional American music.
Their sound electrifies a mix of early blues, country, folk, gospel, and jazz—bringing rock music back to its roots. Fattenin’ Frogs perform a combination of original songs and creative interpretations of classics by artists like Robert Johnson, Son House, Etta James, Blind Willie Johnson, and Muddy Waters.
