America’s Story, shaped by many cultures and generations, comes alive in song!
Under the direction of Artistic Director, Michael Gutierrez, and Assistant Director & Accompanist, Michelle Nuetzmann-Gutierrez, the program celebrates America’s 250th anniversary through powerful works by Aaron Copland, Susan Brumfield, Dan Messe, Stephen Paulus, Frank Ticheli and others–spanning diverse cultural traditions, from Native American influences to contemporary voices, and exploring themes of identity, resilience, and hope. With rich harmonies and compelling storytelling, the performance paints a vibrant musical portrait of a nation shaped by many voices.
