“Songs of Southern Comfort” are the beacon that light the night for an incredible evening of music with vocal superstars Roger Moss and Trey Gurley. Songs that play the soundtrack of our lives: The Thrill is Gone, Ain’t No Sunshine, Midnight Hour, Sittin’ on the Dock of the Bay and other favorites.
Roger, as reigning master of the American Songbook, pairs with Trae’s sultry baritone for a musical journey through the genres that define the southern sound.
Iconic hits showcase Blues, Jazz, R&B, Rock n’ Roll and Country from Ray Charles to Garth Brooks, BB King, Gladys Knight, and Gregg Allman to Johnny Cash. Songs that play the soundtrack of our lives: The Thrill is Gone, Ain’t No Sunshine, Midnight Hour, Sittin’ on the Dock of the Bay and other favorites.
ABOUT ROGER MOSS:
Trained by cabaret legend Andrea Marcovicci, Roger Moss brings us on an outstanding journey of the American Songbook, jazz and the blues. His rich baritone has garnered awards including Connect Newspaper best singer, and finalist in the American Traditions Competition. As soloist for the Savannah Symphony, he performed to sold-out Holiday Pops Concerts, and has appeared with the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra and Memphis Opera.
ABOUT TRAE GURLEY:
Trae Gurley's voice embodies the heart and mind of jazz greats. His history with music stretches beyond just that of a vocalist. A musician first, (saxophone, guitar) his passion for singing took root when introduced to Musical Theater in high school. For the past 30 years, Trae has been performing the songs that speak to him.
Kim Steiner’s credits include Broadway and Off-Broadway productions as Musical Director for Nine; The Fantasticks, as well as working with luminary talents such as Liza Minnelli, Chita Rivera, Alan Cumming, among others. A fixture in the Savannah music scene, Steiner’s arrangements and orchestrations bring the talented artists closer to audience and bridging generations of music lovers together.
