About the Show
From the rich land of Taiwan, FOCA will bring you a captivating contemporary circus performance, "Song of the Land." This show will take the audience on a journey through time, combining circus arts with live singing to present the diverse cultures and captivating stories of Taiwan's land. From Taiwan's birth six million years ago to the emergence of indigenous peoples over eight thousand years ago, to the present day in the 21st century, Taiwan, though small, carries a rich history and culture. Throughout its long history, this island has nurtured diverse ethnic groups, weaving a tapestry of rich and varied stories that we proudly call our homeland. Through the clever integration of traditional skills with modern circus, as well as the fusion of popular and ancient music, and featuring exciting acts such as flag manipulation, martial arts, handstands, aerial rings, cubes, diabolos, and human pyramid stacking, we present a captivating circus musical. This circus musical will offer a rare visual and auditory feast, allowing the audience to experience the rich meaning and beautiful scenery inherent in Taiwan's land. Through four main segments: "Seeing Taiwan," "Taiwan Giants," "Turning Taiwan," and "Embracing Taiwan," we will showcase the diverse facets of Taiwanese culture. Whether it's sharing festive joy with family or cherishing fond memories of the past, all will be perfectly portrayed in this spectacular performance.

來自臺灣這片富饒之地，FOCA為您帶來一場引人入勝的當代馬戲《土地的歌》。這個節目將帶領觀眾穿越時空，透過馬戲藝術結合現場歌唱，呈現臺灣這塊土地上的多樣文化和動 人故事。 從六百萬年前的臺灣誕生，到八千多年前原住民族的出現，再到二十一世紀的今天，小而美的臺灣，承載了豐富的歷史與文化，在漫長的歷史中，我們的土地孕育了多元的族群， 交織出豐富多樣的故事，這正是我們引以為傲的家鄉。透過傳統技藝與現代馬戲的巧妙結合，以及流行歌曲與古老樂曲的交融，以大旗、武術、倒立、大環、立方體、扯鈴、疊羅漢等精彩項目，串連出一場引人入勝的馬戲歌舞劇。 這場馬戲歌舞劇將帶來難得的視聽盛宴，讓觀眾感受臺灣這片土地所蘊含的豐富意義和美 麗風情。通過四大段落：「看見臺灣」、「臺灣巨人」、「翻轉臺灣」和「擁抱臺灣」， 我們將展現臺灣文化的多元面貌，無論是與家人共享佳節喜悅，還是感懷過去的美好回憶，都將在這場精彩的演出中得到完美的表現。

Established in 2011, Formosa Circus Art (FOCA) proudly takes its name from “beautiful island” Taiwan, reflecting the troupe's deep pride in its roots. As the first Taiwanese circus troupe to perform at prestigious international events such as the Avignon Festival in France and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in the UK, FOCA has become a pioneering force from Taiwan in the global circus community. We blend traditional forms, street culture, and theater arts to create a distinctive and diverse form of contemporary circus art. As a dynamic platform for a variety of performances, we cultivate a unique physical vocabulary proudly showcasing the richness of Taiwanese creativity. With over 1,500 performances in more than 30 countries and numerous cities, FOCA serves as a cultural ambassador, showcasing the vibrant tapestry of contemporary Taiwanese circus art around the world.

「FOCA 福爾摩沙馬戲團 Formosa Circus Art 」於 2011 年成立，以臺灣美麗寶島的驕傲所命名。為臺灣第一個以「馬戲」登上法國亞維儂藝術節、英國愛丁堡藝穗節及國家戲劇院的團隊。成立以來於全球巡迴演出，建立國際鏈結，與各國馬戲人才進行交 流,也代表臺灣進行文化交流及巡迴訪演，將臺灣文化傳揚到世界各個角落，由於獨特且多元的美學形式，這些年來 FOCA 受到廣大的海外觀眾的喜愛。在國際的舞臺，逐漸能看見 FOCA 身影，至今已累積超過 1,500 場演出，走訪逾 30 個國家、上百座城市，致力宣揚臺灣當代馬戲藝術。
