Olsen first made waves as a frontman and songwriter for the early 2000s band Perez, which earned two South African Music Award nominations for “Best Rock Album” and delivered four chart-topping hits. He also penned tracks for the indie-rock giants Parlotones, including the platinum-certified anthem “Push Me to the Floor.”
Sonofold’s latest release “Echoes from a Silent Hill” (2024) is crafted in collaboration with South African producer Theo Crous and features Foo Fighters’ multi-instrumentalist Rami Jaffee. With a sound echoing the likes of Beck, Jane’s Addiction, and Neil Young, SonOfOld’s latest album is a sonic journey that bridges the past with the present.
