At Acero Schools, we are what we believe. Actualizing our vision of launching the “next generation of extraordinary life-long learners, discerners and doers” is critical to our graduates’ long-term success. First rooted in Chicago's Latino neighborhoods, Acero Schools is a tuition-free public charter school network with 50% of its students being bilingual emergent.

A unique feature of this scholarship is that it is awarded to both our high-achieving eighth- and twelfth-graders, providing essential financial aid for their education.

Every day, the Acero Schools community lives our mission of “transforming minds through academic empowerment and success.” As a result, Acero Schools has become one of Chicago’s strongest-performing charter networks over the past 27 years. What started as a single school in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood has grown to eleven elementary schools and two high schools, impacting over 25,000 students since 1998.
