What is Burrito Brigage Chicago?

Burrito Brigade originated in 2014 in Eugene, Oregon. In 2020, the co-founders brought it to Chicago. Once a month, on a Sunday, over 500 burritos are made by volunteers at a church on the southside and delivered all over the city. Over 250 of those burritos are delivered to the bike team in Pilsen. That's where we come in!

What is the bike distribution?

We meet at 2:30pm in the parking lot next to Plaza Tenochtitlán in Pilsen. We seperate into 3 groups with one heading west (toward the Humbolt Park area), one staying in and around the Loop, and one that heads north on the Lakefront Trail to the end in Edgewater. We ride our bikes around the city visiting encampments, shelters, and feeding hungry Chicagoans as we ride with burritos and other self care items.
