About this Event

Let's come together for a day-long celebration called Somewhere the Sun Is Always Shining.

Running across multiple community hubs, the Somers Town Community Association, as part of the Melting Metropolis community storytelling programme and its community partners, Scene & Heard and A Space for Us People's Museum, is hosting a day for community, curiosity, and imagination. Expect music, street food, ice cream, crafts, stories, kids' activities, cinema, summer fashion, creative workshops, and plenty more besides.

It’s a family-friendly event with something for everyone under the sun. Taking place during London Climate Action Week on the weekend of the summer solstice, this FREE community event explores urban heat, climate adaptation and community resilience. The event brings together residents, researchers, artists and activists to ask: how do we live, cool down and look after one another as our city gets hotter?
