SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE (1971), comes to the Orinda Theatre as part of the Matias Bombal's Hollywood Cinema Craft Series. The little seen and shown film is a cult classic, based on the book "The Cook" by Harry Kressing. The plot of the recent Netflix movie SALTBURN certainly found some inspiration in this movie, and like Barry Keoghan in that movie, or Timothee Chalamet in MARTY SUPREME, Michael York's character in SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE stops at nothing to make his childhood dream of living in a castle come true. An extraordinary performance from Angela Lansbury and brilliant Jane Carr (who almost steals the show) make this a movie you'll long remember. A black comedy or just dark? You decide. Harold Prince directs."Compared to them, the Macbeths were just plain folks and the Borgias were a nice Italian family"
