Somerville's Union Square Asian Market Tour

This event is part of 2026's Cambridge-Somerville Asian Festival weekend! Led by Asian food enthusiasts and Somerville High's Dear Asian Youth Club, join us for a fun, in-person walking/strolling tour of two local AAPI businesses: Reliable Market and Little India! Learn about the owners' stories and sample Asian tea and snacks. There will be an Asian market scavenger hunt for kids with a chance to win a raffle AAPI gift basket! After the tour, come back to the Somerville Growing Center to naturally dye and decorate your own grocery tote bag with Asian herbs. This event is for all ages!

Tour attendees and Growing Center visitors will receive a complimentary grocery tote bag which will include an AAPI community recipe book.

This event will run, rain or shine!

Please meet up at the Somerville Growing Center at 12:30pm.

12:45pm: tour starts

1:45pm: return back to the Growing Center

1:45-3pm: Tote bag dyeing and decorating. Tea and snacks will be provided!
