Sing in-person, outdoors, in a beautiful setting! (https://www.facebook.com/somervillecommunitygrowingcenter). We'll have a propane fire pit and marshmallows to toast; other snacks are welcome.
TIMING: Back on "winter hours" (6-8 PM) as of November.
PARKING: You can park without a permit on Highland Ave and walk down. (There are also metered spaces in Union Square, but the meters are probably active until 8pm.) If you need something closer, let me know, and I'll try to borrow a placard.
COVID PRECAUTIONS: Because singing is a relatively high-risk activity, we ask that people attend only if both up to date on vaccines (as per the CDC's guidelines at https://www.cdc.gov/covid/vaccines/stay-up-to-date.html) and symptom-free.
Anyone may lead a song, but no-one is obliged to. Drinking songs and sea chanteys always go over well, but anything with a good chorus (i.e. one that people can join in on) will be appreciated. We hope you'll come sing with us!
They have chairs and a porta-john, but not much else in the way of amenities.
