Join us for a special evening dedicated to recognising and celebrating youth work across Somerset.
About this Event

The Somerset Youth Alliance Celebration of Youth Work brings together youth workers, youth work organisations, partners, and young people to acknowledge the vital role youth work plays in empowering and supporting young people in our communities.

The evening will also formally celebrate the achievements of learners who have successfully completed Turtle CYP’s Introduction to Youth Work, Level 2, and Level 3 qualifications, delivered in partnership with the Somerset Youth Alliance. Their commitment, passion, and dedication will be recognised through certificate and award presentations.

What to expect on the evening:

  • Inspirational keynote and guest speakers, including the National Youth Agency, The Lord Lieutenant of Somerset, High Sheriff, Youth Workers, sharing reflections on youth work and its impact
  • Certificate and award presentations celebrating learner achievement
  • Youth voice, including contributions from young people through a short panel discussion
  • Time to connect, network, and celebrate with fellow youth workers, sector leaders, decision-makers, and partners from across the county
  • A positive, welcoming atmosphere that recognises the value and future of youth work in Somerset

Who should attend:

  • Youth workers
  • Youth work organisations and employers
  • Learners and graduates of Somerset Youth Alliance / Turtle CYP programmes
  • Partners, supporters, and stakeholders
  • Young people who want to be part of celebrating youth work and sharing their voice

We’re delighted to be sharing food from Ayesha Kalaji, the Michelin Guide–listed and multi-award-winning chef behind in Glastonbury, helping to create a truly special celebratory atmosphere. Dress to celebrate.

Whether you are a youth worker, learner, colleague, employer, partner, young person or supporter, this evening is a chance to come together, celebrate success, and shine a light on the incredible youth work happening across Somerset.

We look forward to celebrating with you.
