Some Old, Some New, A Talk by Professor Keith Cummings
Drawing on works featured in his current exhibition, Keith will reflect on the creative and technical journey that began during his Fine Art studies in the 1960s, when he set out to uncover the secrets behind ancient and historic glassmaking techniques. Through experimentation, research and artistic enquiry, he helped establish kiln-forming as one of the world’s leading approaches to working with glass.
This fascinating talk offers a unique opportunity to hear first-hand from one of the most influential figures in contemporary glass, as he discusses the ideas, discoveries and ongoing curiosity that continue to shape his work today.
