The 1980’s king of teen movies, John Hughes, delivers another epic tale of the trial and tribulations of teenage love. Mechanic Keith (Eric Stolz) and tomboy Watts (Mary Stuart Masterson) are best friends from the wrong side of the tracks. When Keith tries to improve their social standing by asking out the most popular girl in school, Amanda Jones (Lea Thompson), Watts begins to realize her feelings for Keith are deeper than she thought. (USA, 1987, 95 mins, PG-13, English | Dir. Howard Deutch)
