About this Event

Episode 8 - Strength

In 1970, Austrian-born peasant-turned-bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzeneggar starred in Hercules in New York: the first of many American-made films that would eventually propel him to legend. He couldn’t even speak English at the time, but he sure did look the part. He continued to dominate the global professional bodybuilding world until claiming his final Mr. Olympia title in 1980 and “retiring” into a full-time blockbuster acting career. To this day, over 50 years after leaving the professional bodybuilding industry, Schwarzennegar continues to evolve his public persona and, you guessed it, work out. He sponsors the annual Arnold Sports Festival, the Arnold Strongman Classic bodybuilding competition, and appears regularly at assorted fitness events as well as on social media to inspire and educate young people on the value of physical fitness, personal resilience, and unflinching self-determination.

What do you know about Strength? What does it look like? What does it feel like?

How will you find yours?

Episode 8 will challenge you to examine your own inner relationship with Strength through a body-based exploration of the established archetype. Yes, it will be challenging, but not dangerous. Do not let your hearts be troubled, my friends! Challenge is the bringer of change, and true strength always seems to find a way to rise up when you need it most. As Arnold tells us, "What we face may look insurmountable. But I learned something from all those years of training and competing. I learned something from all those sets and reps when I didn't think I could lift another ounce of weight. What I learned is that we are always stronger than we know."
