A day of rest and reflection on the Winter Solstice, the longest night and the shortest day.A seasonal pause, a day of retreat which will begin with a gentle and soothing sound and mantra meditation to refresh and clear the mind before descending into the embrace of silence for the remainder of the day.

It is only through direct experience that one can truly appreciate the benefits of spending longer periods of time in silence.
However, many silent retreats are from three to ten days long and this can feel daunting if you have never done it before.
This Solstice Sound and Silence Retreat Day is the perfect opportunity to experience the nourishment and wisdom that can arise from the quiet within and around us.
This event takes place in a beautiful barn studio in Letchworth, Herts with a private garden and surrounded by woodland which makes it the perfect place for this day retreat.
Our schedule:
10am: Arrival and settling in.
10:15: Introduction and opening sound and mantra meditation
11:15: Mindful Movement & Guided Meditation
12:30: Silent time for Rest and Reflection or Walking Meditation in the garden or woodland
1:15pm Silent Lunch by The Kitchen Mama
2:15: Solstice Inspired Yoga Nidra
2:45: Silent Solstice Ceremony
3:30pm: Closing Circle and Reflections around the Fire.
