Solstice Celebration

Join the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha Education Team for a celebration of the shortest day of the year. Bring the whole family and craft your own glowing lantern, a timeless symbol to help “welcome back” the sun after the long, dark night. As dusk settles, wander together on an early evening walk through the botanic gardens, where flickering lights and winter’s stillness create a truly magical atmosphere.

Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear warm clothes and covered walking shoes.

This event supports the Botanic Gardens' commitment to creating a plant loving community dedicated to putting the plant back into Planet.
