This training satisfies the Milton Range requirement for a range orientation. There is no written exam, however, participants are quizzed orally during the training. After the classroom portion of the course is finished, participants will proceed to the Milton Rifle/Pistol ranges to learn how to open/close the range and where to find range supplies. In addition, each participant must demonstrate that they can safely operate and discharge a handgun or rifle that they have brought to the training.
Will the student receive a certificate of completion: If successfully completed, participants will be awarded an "SSO" button conferring the privilege to use the Milton Rifle / Handgun range during regular shooting hours without the supervision of an Range Safety Officer.
