A message from the performer:

Hi everyone, my name is Steven and I sincerely invite you to my solo charity recital in devotion of the Global Health Fund. This performance marks my first ever solo concert and I can't wait to share wonderful music with everyone! Music is truly my life-changing passion, one that holds a deep meaning in my heart. Through this recital, I hope to enhance the magic that is music with a meaningful cause, helping to make a difference in those in medical need. I hope you will enjoy the music and hopefully even make a small but greatly appreciated donation to the Global Health Fund (Additional donation information will be provided on the day of the concert) and I look forward to seeing you there!

About the performer,

Xiaowei (Steven) Zhao is an junior IB student at Trabuco Hills High School. He is under the tutulage of Angela Leu and Professor Kirill Gliadkovsky at Saddleback College. Steven has been studying piano since he was 6 and have loved performing ever since. Prior to the honor of winning the Socal Young Artist Solo Competition in 2024, he received gold medal in the Southern California Junior Bach Festival in 2022, first place in MTAC State Concerto Competition in 2023, second and third place in MTAC Solo competition and Pacific Star International Piano Competition, respectively, and had the amazing opportunity to perform in Carneige Hall, New York. In the summer of 2024, he attended the prestigious Juilliard Summer Piano program and received guidance from its respected falculty members such as Emanuel Ax and Orli Shaham. Steven also loves to paint and play lacrosse as his hobbies.
