Rasha Abousalem spent two weeks in May doing humanitarian work in Lebanon. She has traveled to more than 50 refugee camps, including Gaza in December, offering aid and medical assistance to displaced people.
As a child of Palestinian refugees, she's dedicated her life to advocating not only for Palestinian rights, but for humanity worldwide. A long-time Columbia resident, she's also a leader with Missourians for Justice in Pales-tine.
Jacqueline Dauria spent six weeks this past fall in Israel-Palestine, including three weeks with Palestinian farmers and their families in the West Bank, helping harvest their treasured olives as a solidarity activist with the Center for Jewish Nonviolence. She will share her experiences and observations of daily life for Palestinians living under Israeli occupation. Beautiful photos and video clips will be displayed throughout the presentation. Jacqueline, a global peace activist and long-time teacher, now lives in Alaska.
Both speakers will share photos and video from their recent journeys.
