Worship is central to our faith as Christians. It’s central to the rhythm of the life of a church. The 2026 Preaching Academy will focus on how to connect the sermon to the rest of the worship service. It will be about both preaching and leading worship as well as helping worshippers connect and participate in the service, instead of passively consuming worship.
Join us June 23 – 24 and together we’ll explore the free tools available to you and explore how to use them in your ministry context. We’ll use the new Salt and Light sermon series, available after Annual Conference, as an example. You’ll leave with worship outlines tailored to your ministry setting.
When: 1 p.m. on June 23 to 11:30 a.m. on June 24
Where: Community United Methodist Church 3301 W Broadway, Columbia, MO 65203
Cost: $50, includes planning guides, dinner and a hands-on learning experience.
