There’s nothing quite like rolling up your sleeves and working alongside neighbors who care about building a stronger, more connected community.
Join us for Solid Ground’s 3rd annual Day of Service – a morning of hands-on projects rooted in care, connection, and collective action. Volunteers will support one of the three project sites:
- Magnuson Park - Sand Point
- Giving Garden at Marra Far - South Park
- Solid Ground Transportation - South Park
Solid Ground’s Giving Garden at Marra Farm has grown thousands of pounds of fresh, organic produce each year for neighbors across southwest Seattle. The food harvested supports local food banks, meal programs, health clinics, and other community organizations, ensuring that healthy, culturally relevant food stays in the community.
Volunteers will meet at the Giving Garden (9026 4th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98108) for coffee and pastries before helping with seasonal projects such as planting, weeding, composting, watering, harvesting, and preparing produce for distribution. We’ll also help prune, mulch, and maintain parts of the surrounding Marra-Desimone Park.
Whether you’re volunteering with family, friends, coworkers, or on your own, you’ll help care for the places and programs that support our community every day.
