Историята на проекта започва през 1984 г., когато пианиста Антони Дончев и барабаниста Христо Йоцов поставят началото на музикален път, който бързо ги извежда отвъд границите на България. Още в първите години „Акустична версия“ триумфират в Леверкузен, Германия, където са обявени за „Млади джаз артисти на Европа“ за 1986 г. 🎶
Формацията се утвърждава като една от най-оригиналните и разпознаваеми джаз дуети от Източна Европа.
През годините в своята формация Христо и Антони работят с повече от 7 басисти, всеки от които оставя свой почерк в развитието на групата. Тази нетърсена, но утвърдена концепция към нови гласове и идеи прави "Акустична версия" жива и постоянно развиваща се формация вече четири десетилетия.
След като през 2024 г. заедно отпразнувахме 40 години на сцената, на 17 декември 2025 г. Антони Дончев и Христо Йоцов се завръщат пред публиката на In The Mood Jazz Club със специалното участие на Петър Славов – един от най-успешните български джаз музиканти на световната сцена.
Неговото име е част от историята на „Акустична версия“ още през 90-те години, преди да продължи образованието си в престижния Berklee College of Music в Бостън и да изгради забележителна кариера в САЩ. 🇺🇸

On December 17, the stage of In The Mood will welcome the legendary jazz formation “Acoustic Version” in a special, highly emotional lineup.✨
The history of the project begins in 1984, when pianist Antoni Donchev and drummer Hristo Yotsov started a musical journey that quickly took them beyond the borders of Bulgaria. Already in the first years, “Acoustic Version” triumphed in Leverkusen, Germany, where they were named “Young Jazz Artists of Europe” for 1986 🎶
The formation established itself as one of the most original and recognizable jazz duos from Eastern Europe.
Over the years, in their formation, Hristo and Antoni have worked with more than 7 bassists, each leaving their mark on the group’s development. This unforced yet established approach to new voices and ideas has kept “Acoustic Version” a living and constantly evolving formation for four decades.
After celebrating 40 years on stage together in 2024, on December 17, 2025, Antoni Donchev and Hristo Yotsov return to the audience at In The Mood Jazz Club with the special participation of Petеr Slavov – one of the most successful Bulgarian jazz musicians on the world stage.
His name has been part of the history of “Acoustic Version” since the 1990s, before continuing his education at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston and building an impressive career in the USA. 🇺🇸
