Spend the day around the furnace crafting and casting your own bronze axe head, based on those made in Somerset 4000 years ago.Your journey begins with an engaging introduction to bronze casting methodology and essential safety protocols. Watch in wonder as molten metal transforms before your eyes.
Under expert guidance, you’ll master each step of the process - from precise mould-making to the mesmerising pour, followed by the satisfying process of finishing your piece through fettling, grinding, and polishing.
Dress warmly in full-length trousers and sturdy footwear for this primarily outdoor experience.
