The Nieuwpoort Swim is een open water zwemwedstrijd in de binnenhaven van Nieuwpoort. In deze fantastische setting zwem je in de schaduw van het imposante Koning Albert I monument.
Dankzij de unieke locatie zwem je in rustig water en kunnen je supporters langs het volledige parcours jou komen toejuichen!
Met als climax een rode loper finish op het Long Course Weekend festival terrein wordt dit ongetwijfeld een wedstrijd om nooit te vergeten.
Je kan kiezen tussen 2 afstanden: 1,9km en 3,8km.
The Nieuwpoort Swim is onderdeel van Long Course Weekend Belgium, een multisportevenement waar je drie dagen lang kan kiezen uit drie disciplines (zwemmen, fietsen, lopen) over verschillende afstanden. Zwemmen op vrijdag, fietsen op zaterdag en/of lopen op zondag. Zo kun je deelnemen aan een sportief weekend, volledig op jouw maat!

The Nieuwpoort Swim is one of the only open-water swim courses in Belgium. Set on the river delta in the port of Nieuwpoort, the Nieuwpoort Swim takes place in a setting to marvel about. The perfect start of the Long Course Weekend. The course starts and finishes in the harbour of the city and right next to the Nieuwpoort memorial in honour of British soldiers. Set back from, yet close to the sea, the course offers shelter from the strong currents and allows spectators to cheer on athletes from both sides of the river banks, delivering world-class viewing points for all spectators and an unrivalled atmosphere for athletes!
Be part of the unique Long Course Weekend in Belgium this September and join us for the The Nieuwpoort Swim on Friday September 20th. Whilst this event sits within a three-day triathlon, we invite swimmers, cyclists, triathletes and runners to compete together in the Friday, Saturday & Sunday events.
