Step inside one of the UK’s most haunted locations, dating back to 1784 — and possibly earlier.
The Hanbury Arms stands on ancient Templar tunnels and was once a Coroner’s Court, morgue, and site of executions. The original hanging beam is still visible at the cellar entrance.
Today, it’s home to Tracey & Nigel Turner of Lost Entity Paranormal and their haunted object collection. Paranormal activity is frequently reported by staff, visitors, and media outlets — including icy temperature drops, phantom voices, and physical encounters.
Meet the spirits:
“Freddie” the Victorian boy, Emily the troubled girl, Elemental Mischievous Imps, the Old Coroner, William the shoe maker and many more.
Special experience:
• Spend the night in the Old Cellar Morgue or Haunted Objects Museum and earn your *“I Survived the Night” certificate!
Rooms Available:
• The Old Cellar Morgue: 4 single beds, 1 camp bed, 1 coffin (up to 6 guests)
• The Portrait Room: 3 single beds, 1 camp bed (up to 4 guests)
• The Black Widow Room: 2 single beds
• The Old Nursery: 3 single beds, 1 extra camp bed
• Museum Room: 5 sturdy camp beds
