In Loving Memory of Brian Morris
Brian Morris passed away in October 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. He proudly served with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department for 24½ years, earning numerous awards for his distinguished and dedicated service.
Brian was a man of deep faith, a joyful presence within the St. Jude Catholic Church community, and a loyal friend to all who knew him. Known as the “life of the party,” Brian was always ready with a joke, a helping hand, or—true to his signature phrase—“just one more drink.”
He was an active member of the St. Jude Men’s Club and was honored as the 2022 Member of the Year. His commitment to giving back extended far beyond church walls—he volunteered with Anna’s Celebration of Life Foundation and was recognized with their Excellence Award in 2021. Other honors include the 2022 Sertoma Club Service to Mankind Award, the 2017 Zeus Award from Epsilon Sigma Alpha, and Best in Show at the 2015 Marion County Prosecutor’s Office Chili Cook-Off.
Brian also shared his love for music as a disk jockey, owning and operating FMX DJs. He brought joy and energy to events across the city with his music, humor, and warmth. Whether DJing, golfing, bowling, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, or spending time with his beloved family, Brian embraced life with heart and humility.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer, and their two children, Samuel and Hannah. His light lives on in the countless lives he touched.
We continue to honor Brian’s legacy by:
• Supporting the ongoing efforts of the St. Jude Men’s Club
• Providing scholarships for Roncalli High School students involved in the tech crew, celebrating Brian’s love of service and technology
Brian’s servant heart, contagious laughter, and boundless generosity will never be forgotten.
