Learn to braid a rug using pre-loved textiles from old clothing or linens. Explore rug design ideas and color placement, tips and tricks on preparing textiles to use in rugs, and the braiding technique to create a rug. Practice the four-strand no-sew braiding technique and start a rug in class, to be finished at home. To successfully create a rug, participants will need to sit or stand and use both hands in a repetitive motion. Braiding material will be provided. Please bring a sharp scissors.
