Solar Superstorms

Join us on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Dooley Planetarium for a FREE program called Solar Superstorms. This program is narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch and introduces audiences to the Sun's high-velocity jets, magnetic field, and interior.
Doors will open 30 minutes prior to the presentation for visitors to arrive early and explore the planetarium. There is no admission fee for this event, but seating is first come first served. There will be no late seating once the doors have closed as when the doors open it floods the auditorium with light and ruins the experience for everyone.
