Join us at DBR on Saturday, August 16 for a night of incredible music as Solar Federation takes the stage!
Solar Federation – the only Rush tribute band from the United States invited to perform at A Night for Neil, the 2022 memorial concert organized by the family of late drummer Neil Peart – brings its award-winning interpretation of the iconic progressive rock band’s music to Double Barrel Roadhouse on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
Solar Federation celebrates the entirety of Rush’s career, including FM radio staples like “Tom Sawyer,” “Limelight,” “Working Man,” “The Spirit of Radio”, “Freewill,” “Closer to the Heart” and many more. The band also digs deep into its massive catalog, and you’ll hear lots of rarely played album cuts and complex prog rock epics.
Over the last decade, Solar Federation has established itself as a faithful tribute to Rush, garnering praise from fans around the globe not only for the meticulous attention to detail of guitarist Eric Wirsing, bassist/keyboardist Mike Bitts, and drummer Ffej Herb, but also for vocalist Julie Schreiber’s unique presentation of the band’s dynamic melodies and thought-provoking lyrics.
Solar Federation was voted “Best Tribute Band” at the 5th annual Central PA Music Awards in 2024. The band’s recent recording of “Witch Hunt” – a collaboration with longtime Rush album cover artist Hugh Syme and producer Terry Brown – appears on Volume 5 of the compilation album, Songs for Neil, a tribute album series released and distributed internationally by RushFest Scotland.
