Emotions, for many of us, embody chaos. They can be unexpected, unpredictable, unwieldy, possessing a life of their own. They can be unwelcome. Yet, if we bring a soft fluency to embrace any of these emotions, we can unlock the essence of the very life we yearn to live. The life we yearn to thrive in.
In the heartbeat map of the 5Rhythms cosmology we dance with fear, anger, sadness, joy, and compassion. We will create a strong container for softly surrendering to the feeling present in each moment, curating an ever stronger capacity to harness the wisdom the emotion brings to the surface.
We love without defence, we love to tears, we feel how scared we are when the fear is actually arising, it’s an amazing thing to truly feel all that this life offers us to experience. Yet we hide our anger, hold it in clenched jaws, or temper it with eloquent words that flower our craniums and dazzle other’s eyes, all to avoid the truth: that we are angry. As we are afraid of our own anger, we are also afraid of other people’s anger. This is understandable since anger gone rogue, creates wars, death, and more pain, more even than the pain of holding it in. What if anger was given a place at the table? What gifts might be hidden under its scaly exterior?
And sadness…what might we see if we soften our egos and allow sadness to move? Then true joy might emerge. Not the party joy, or ungrounded floating mania, but pure grounded joy. From the depths of fear, the burnt embers of anger, and the fall of grief, we can step into the newborn existence of a joy undeterred, understood cellularly, and immediately.
And then...when we have travelled through fear, anger, sadness, and joy, we can dissolve the armour, and be in stillness. Be compassionate.
This workshop counts as 25 hours of 5Rhythms® Heartbeat Practice. A Gabrielle Roth 5Rhythms® Heartbeat Workshop is the opening of our emotional world and focuses on how each Rhythm corresponds to the essential emotions: Flowing/Fear, Staccato/Anger, Chaos/Sadness, Lyrical/Joy, and Stillness/Compassion.

Our teacher
Ann Kite, a certified 5Rhythms® teacher, holds an MA in Teaching, and has extensive training in both Soul Motion® and behavioral money coaching. With certifications in both the 5Rhythms Waves and Heartbeat levels, Ann has spent over 16 years guiding others on their journeys of personal discovery through movement. Her teaching is a fusion of her rich experience across modalities, offering a grounded yet soulful container for transformation. Ann brings a unique perspective inviting participants to explore their full range of expression while cultivating inner freedom. Known for her intuitive, heart-centered approach, Ann creates spaces where the body, heart, and spirit can connect, heal, and expand. Her work is dynamic, embodying the sacred dance of life, offering both the freedom to move and the wisdom to ground.
All workshop hours danced with Ann Kite count towards 5Rhythms teacher training.
Cancellations:
A refund less a $50 processing fee will be issued if written notice is received by February 08, 2025.
A refund less a $150 processing fee will be issued if written notice is received by February 26, 2025.
No refund will be issued for cancellation after February 26, 2025.
A 75% refund *may* be issued if the workshop is at capacity, *and* a replacement is registered.
If this workshop needs to be cancelled/postponed, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded to participants. It is not possible to cover travel or accommodations costs incurred by participants.
Health Agreement: As a service to ourselves and to each other in our community, please stay home if you have symptoms of the cold or flu. Considering our own health and the health of our community members is an act of love and care.
