Soft Launch Social Presents: Queer Speed Friending (21-35)

After the amazing response to our first two Pride Specials and so many of you asking us to host queer focused events more often, we knew we had to bring them back! 💖

So, welcome to the first of our Soft Launch Social Presents: Queer Special! ✨

Soft Launch Social is a chilled and inclusive speed friending event designed to help adults aged 21–35 meet new people in a way that feels welcoming, low pressure and, most importantly, fun!

Our first two queer events were created as Pride specials to help LGBTQ+ people connect ahead of Nottingham Pride, and we absolutely loved seeing so many of you come along, meet new people and hopefully leave with some new friends to enjoy Pride with. 🌈

But why should we only create these spaces around Pride? 🥰

Thanks to the popularity of our first two events and the many requests we've had to make them a more regular thing!! we're so excited to be bringing back our Queer Specials, creating more opportunities for LGBTQ+ people in Nottingham to meet, connect and grow their community throughout the year. 🤍

This event is all about creating a welcoming space to meet new people, have some lovely conversations, build genuine friendships and connect with other LGBTQ+ people in Nottingham 🌈✨

And this time, £1 from every ticket sold will be donated to Notts LGBT+ Network, supporting their work within the LGBTQ+ community in Nottingham! 💖

Coming alone is completely normal at SLS in fact, most people do! This is exactly what the event is here for. The evening is structured to make conversations feel easier, with guided rounds, conversation prompts and breaks throughout, so there’s no pressure to know what to say or who to talk to.

• Conversation prompt cards to help get the chat flowing
• Breaks to grab a drink and chat naturally
• A relaxed, welcoming and inclusive atmosphere
• Space to keep chatting and making genuine new friendships after the rounds, including the photobooth and arcade!
