Society Hall, at 400 Ross Avenue in Alamosa, is excited to welcome Denver's Meghan Clarisse and her band to the Society Hall stage on Friday, November 21st at 7:00 pm. Doors will open at 6:00. Meghan will be celebrating the release of her new album “Shadows of a Ghost Town” recently released on Howlin' Dog Records, and recorded at the Howlin' Dog studio NW of Alamosa. Meghan was also a recipient of a grant from Howlin' Dog Music Group, which helped fund a portion of the cost of recording the album. Tickets for the show are $20.00 and are available at the link below or in Alamosa at the Green Spot at 711 State Ave. The concert will also stream live on the Society Hall Facebook page and You-Tube channel.
Meghan Clarisse is one of the busiest and brightest stars in the sky of the Denver and northern Colorado country music scene. She performs regularly, whether in a solo presentation, a duo with her steel player Todd Clayton, or with her full band “Meghan and Her Cavemen”. Joining Meghan Clarisse on stage for the Shadows of a Ghost Town album release are some of Colorado’s finest musicians. Todd Clayton brings the shimmering textures of pedal steel, while Ken Wilson drives the heartbeat of the songs on drums. Ariel Tsukana Yamada holds down the low end with soulful bass lines, and Dave Shapiro adds fire and finesse on lead guitar. Special guest, Don Richmond, of The Rifter’s who recorded, played on, produced, mixed and mastered the album will join the band to weave mandolin, banjo, and fiddle into the mix with his signature artistry. Together, this powerhouse lineup creates a rich, dynamic sound to bring the new record to life.
Meghan says she plays “music with country roots and cowgirl boots.” With a voice as grounded as the Mountain West she calls home, Meghan blends Americana, country, and bluegrass into heartfelt songs that tell stories of resilience, family, and wide-open landscapes. Her discography includes Songs from the Sofa (2023), the collaborative EP Kindred Spirits (2024), and her new full-length album Shadows of a Ghost Town (2025), an evocative exploration of death, nature, and the soul of the West.
Recognized by the Colorado Country Music Hall of Fame and a proud member of the Mountain West Country Music Association, Meghan is also the recipient of a 2024 Howling Dog Music Group grant, recording her latest album at Howling Dog Records with Don Richmond.
When she’s not onstage, Meghan volunteers with Musicians On Call bringing live music to patients at Children’s Hospital and the VA in Denver. With every song and show, she builds community, lifts up fellow artists, and reminds audiences why music matters.
