We’ll be hosting a FREE SOCIAL MEDIA SAFETY ‘Lunch & Learn’ at Slinger High School on Saturday, Sept. 13, 9am-12:30pm!!😃🙌
Open and honest conversations with kids, at every age, builds trust and confidence they need to navigate online interactions safely.
We are here to help you with those conversations…
Please join us for this FUN, FREE, INTERACTIVE FAMILY EVENT on Saturday, September 13th at SLINGER HIGH SCHOOL in Slinger, WI from 9am-12:30pm.
This family-friendly event will give you the tools you need to have the conversations with your kids, and the tools your kids need to stay safe online!
This event will include an up-to-date and interactive educational presentation for parents and kids from ages eight years old and up (ALL MINORS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT/CAREGIVER)!
After the presentation, attendees will be treated to a live ESD K9 demonstration from Detective Karsen Frame and K9 partner Geo from the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office.
This will be fun for the whole family as we learn together how these amazing Electronic Storage Detection dogs are used in executing search warrants at homes or workplaces of suspected perpetrators to find their hidden electronic storage devices used in downloading, creating and or sharing child sexual abuse material to exploit children.
In addition to an educational presentation appropriate for kids 8 and up and anyone who works with or around minors, attendees will have an opportunity to choose which resource booths they’d like to visit during our lunch break. These booths offer additional educational information that may not be covered in the presentation due to time and ages appropriateness of the content.
These booths will be hosted by experts, each focused on different topics such as sexting & sextortion, gaming safely, parental controls and safety features on devices and apps, reporting, victim services, AI and other trending scams, sex trafficking, mental health resources and more.
These booths offer an opportunity for older kids to collect information on more mature topics, or for adults to learn more and collect/connect with resources.
During this time, local and state law-enforcement professionals will be available for questions and conversations, and you’ll be able to meet our guest K9 officer Geo!🐾
Free lunch and refreshments will also be available during this time for attendees.
As we reconvene, we will have closing statements and award over $2000 worth of prizes to the audience! Must be present to win. More details to come!
… Don’t miss this important opportunity to gather information and resources to keep your kids safe online…together we CAN do this!😃
