Megan Rivera joined the UGA Small Business Development Center in Rome as a business consultant in 2025. She brings more than 15 years of leadership experience in the hospitality industry and has owned a portfolio of small businesses over the last 13 years.
Megan specializes in customer experience strategy, marketing and branding, AI Optimization, sales strategy, business reinvention, strategic pivoting, luxury service standards and client retention. Her deep understanding of both high-touch service and scalable growth makes her a valuable resource for entrepreneurs at every stage.
In 2025, she was recognized by the Georgia Hotel & Lodging Association as one of the state’s Sales and Marketing Champions for her outstanding contributions to the industry by building a multi-million-dollar wedding business.
