Social Media Marketing Camp is designed for high school students and new college freshmen who want to do more than learn about marketing — they want to make something real. Over five days, campers create original digital content for actual clients in three iconic locations: Lake Geneva, the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison, and a high-profile sports team. Days are spent filming on location; evenings are spent editing, posting, and refining your work with UW-Whitewater marketing students and faculty who have been where you want to go.
Every camper leaves with a professional content portfolio: three polished short-form videos, a photo carousel, a personal creator brand sheet, and a final individual presentation of their week's results. Along the way, you'll sit down for lunch with CoBE alumni working in marketing, social media, sports, and entrepreneurship — real professionals sharing real stories, one-on-one, in the cities where your content comes to life.
Evenings on campus include a kickoff Glo Bowl, swimming, and Thursday's camp challenge — a two-hour competition to create the best promotional video for next year's camp. Campers stay in an air-conditioned residence hall and receive meals, a camp t-shirt, and swag throughout the week.
This event is available to participants grades 9-12 and graduating seniors at the time of the event.
