About this Event
Description
The Social Impact Canvas tool empowers you to understand how your work resonates with your audience and society. The Impact Canvas is designed to help with measuring and understanding the impact of the cultural and creative organization. It supports finding adequate measurement instruments that focus on things that really matter and helps in considering different kinds of data as part of cultural work. It can assist in uncovering novel revenue streams and support financial stability.
For whom
The workshop is aimed at professional creators/artists and requires that you be employed by or represent a registered company based in Skåne. To get the most out of the course, it is recommended that more than one person from the same organization/company participate in the course session, but the workshop can also help individual entrepreneurs who do not have any partners or whose partners can’t come.
The Purpose with this workshop is to give participants the ability to go beyond conventional social issues, defining the precise social impact of their cultural business according to their vision.
You can use the canvas to, for example:
- Gain a clear understanding of your work's significance and its influence on your audience.
- Identify data and indicators that really show the value of your work.
- Make operations more economically sustainable.
- Identify value alignments with funders and improve value statements to financiers.
- Link your activities more explicitly to the needs and challenges of your audiences.
- Examine what your organization does from various perspectives.
Practicalities
During this workshop, you will work hands-on with your business to identify and implement new ways of developing and describing what you do, and establishing relevant data points and measurement instruments to demonstrate the value of what you do to the external stakeholders.

The workshop is part of ; a skills development project in the cultural and creative sector run by Media Evolution and Region Skåne.
