As human beings, we need connection but when we are struggling emotionally, it can be difficult to identify and connect with others. We can often see ourselves, or feel that others see us, as different or broken. At the Forum many of the team have experienced feelings of isolation and loneliness at different points in their lives and along their Recovery journeys.
Connection means different things to different people. The Forum work together within local communities to create a sense of belonging and inclusivity. The Forum celebrate differences and acknowledge the value of individual perspectives and experiences.
The Forum work with individuals, organisations, and communities to offer a range of different activities across Dorset that bring people together and help people connect with others.
The Forum want to remove barriers between services and ensure that people are able to live the life they want to live in spite of any challenges they might face.
With that in mind, come along and join in at the Social Group, held on Mondays at Waitrose Cafe, Gillingham, Dorset between 2-4pm.
