Hey everyone! The team has been doing a lot of thinking about the upcoming social and our next few steps as we launch our game. We've decided to change our approach.
First off, we're actually going to make the event entirely OOG. We'd like to give folks the opportunity to get to know our game, game world, rules, and familarize themselves with the app better.
We'll still give out 3 LAPs for attending and you can purchase an additional +2 LAPs, but we'd love it if you'd join us for a more casual E6 experience. There's going to be a few annoucements about our upcoming plans/roadmap for the game as well as the chance to Q&A our staff about any parts of the game that you're interested in.
We definitely encourage you to dress up in costume and sci-fi garb in spirit of the game should you want too!
Drinks and food will be available for purchase at the bar and we even have a SPECIAL drink Bampot has kindly made just for our event!
Here's the updated schedule:
8:30pm - 9:00pm: Registration and Check-in
9:30pm: A general opening announcement and overview of our plans for the year with a few words from our senior staff members.
10:00pm - 12:30am: Open discussions/Q&A, how-to guides on using the app for scanning, info about the world, general socializing, etc.
12:30am - 1:00am: Closing announcements and wind-down
1:00am - 2:00am: Cleanup (anyone who stays to assist will be greatly appreciated and awarded ferroxidite for their Citizenly behaviour!!!)
Costs will remain the same ($15 entrance fee, $5/LAP, and everyone pays their own bar tabs), but we're going to be hosting a bit of a fund-raising raffle to help with the game's development. We'll be announcing the prizes closer to the social and/or at the social. Tickets can be purchased separately!
