Sobermiut Reviving Our Spirit, Inc. is bringing back Soberfest 2026: The Original "Village Picnic in the City," and it is going to be an incredible day of community, culture, wellness, and celebration!
This is a FREE family event and EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
📍 Where: Arctic Rec Center (4855 Arctic Blvd, Anchorage)
📅 When: Saturday, August 29, 2026 | 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
🍖 What to expect: Free BBQ, live band, sobriety speakers, Alaska Native games, face painting, bounce house, door prizes, and tons of community resources!
HOW WE CAN SUPPORT (Volunteers & Resources Needed!)
Events like this only happen when the community steps up together. I’m asking my network to jump in and support in two key ways:
* Volunteer Your Time:
* Set-up Crew: 9:45 AM – 12:00 PM (tents, tables, sound, BBQ prep, games)
* Cleanup Crew: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM (tents, loading equipment, trash pickup)
* Sponsor or Share Resources: We are looking for local organizations, businesses, and individuals to cost-share or donate food/drinks, BBQ supplies, venue equipment, tables, chairs, printing, or prizes!
If you have a few hours to spare, a business that can donate supplies, or just want to bring your family out to celebrate recovery and Alaska Native culture—let’s show up in full force! 🤝🔥
