About this Event
Human trafficking is the 2nd leading crime in the U.S. Help us fight human trafficking and rescue missing youth in the area.
Volunteers will recieve training on the signs of human trafficking and learn about current local issues. They will label and bag soaps & makeup remover wipes with the national human trafficking hotline number, as well as prepare informational folders for hotels and motels. After assembling the materials, volunteers will deliver the bags and folders to hotels and motels throughout HIllsborough County. These efforts help raise awareness, support prevention and aid in locating missing youth.
Agenda:
Arrive 9:30am for registration and to prepare materials.
Breakfast will be provided.
10:30-11:30- Human Trafficking Training: Talking to Hotels Staff & a Survivor's Story
11:30: Head to hotels to deliver materials
Participants must be at least 16 years old to deliver to the hotels. Anyone between the ages of 16 and 18 must be accompanied by an adult to go to the hotels to deliver the materials.
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND.
Dress: Please dress modestly with no short shorts or bare shoulders.
