SOAP UP Charlotte
About this Event
Human trafficking happens in every community, including ours. The SOAP Project partners with volunteers, churches, businesses, and organizations to help local hotels recognize the signs of trafficking and connect victims with help.
During this free volunteer event, you'll:
- Learn how human trafficking impacts your community
- Hear from survivor and SOAP Project Founder Theresa Flores through a powerful training presentation
- Help prepare labeled soaps, makeup wipes, and awareness materials for local hotels
- Join a team delivering outreach materials to participating hotels
- Make a meaningful impact in just a few hours
No experience is necessary. Training and all materials are provided.
Please Note: Volunteers participating in the hotel outreach must be at least 16 years old and accompanied by an adult.

Check-In & Outreach Prep
Info: Check in, meet other volunteers, and help prepare soaps, makeup wipes, and outreach materials for distribution to local hotels.

Human Trafficking Training
Info: Watch a brief presentation from human trafficking survivor and SOAP Project Founder Theresa Flores. Learn the warning signs of trafficking, how SOAP's outreach works, and how to confidently speak with hotel front desk staff.
🕑: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Hotel Outreach
Info: Volunteers will work in teams to deliver labeled soaps, makeup wipes, and awareness materials to participating local hotels. Training and instructions will be provided before departure.
