Join us for a beginner friendly workshop on soap felting. Using botanically natural soaps of various scents and locally raised alpaca fiber you will create a one of a kind felted soap. Felted soap is a bar of soap wrapped in wool, creating a two-in-one soap and washcloth that provides gentle exfoliation, longer-lasting soap, improved grip, and natural antimicrobial properties. The wool felts around the soap as it's used, creating a slightly rough surface for scrubbing and preventing the soap from becoming slimy or mushy. Once the soap is used up, the wool casing can be composted, used as a scrubby, or repurposed into other items.
All tools and materials needed are provided, no experience needed, just show up and have some fun!
Duration: 20 mins per soap
Age Group: 5+ years
