So You Want to be a Cookier? Tips and Techniques: Cookie Dough & Royal Icing with Dani & Dani

The key to the art of cookie decorating is working with a perfect cookie base AND the perfect consistency royal icing.

Led by cookie expert Dani B Fiori, and culinary instructor Dani Heath, class will begin with a detailed demo on how to make the perfect sugar cookie dough including mixing storing rolling and baking. After answering all your cookie dough questions cookie artist/ icing expert Dani B will demo how to make a batch of the perfect royal icing.

Afterwards we will decorate 5 amazing and adorable Earth Day themed cookies highlighting different techniques.

As in all of our cookie workshops Dani provides a step by step "how to ice" demonstration of each cookie then each participant decorates their own version. This workshop involves cookies to be iced in layers as well as various cookie decorating techniques such as sugaring and marbleizing.

This is a great class for beginners looking to learn tips tricks and techniques. Bring all your cookie questions to this class- we are more than happy to answer them!

One cookie decorating kit per person. Only ticket holders will be seated at our icing tables. All seating will be socially distant but our tables are communal. We do not have additional space for people who are not taking class to stand. All supplies included.

Kids 16 and up** BYO welcome for adults. Registration for this event will close Tuesday, April 21st. This class will be approx. 2 to 2.5 hours long and could go over depending on class speed of icing and questions. 8 spaces available.

**This class is great for kids who are very into baking are experienced with it and want to learn more but please note time span.

COOKIE WORKSHOP FAQ:

Ticketholders at Tables Only: Due to room capacity constraints in our space we are only able to accommodate cookie icers at our tables. If you would like to be seated with other cookie icers who are registered under another name please let us know in advance (the week before) as we pre-assign seating for each workshop and can not accommodate last minute seat changes. Drop off welcome for kids in certain classes: age requirement 8 and up.

Timing: Please arrive promptly or 5 minutes before class. Due to our limited capacity we can not accommodate any earlier arrivals. We do have a bench outside for waiting. The workshop will last for an hour and a half to two hours depending on class speed of icing each cookie.

Coffee and Snacks: No outside food allowed but we welcome BYO beverages. You may pre purchase snacks to enjoy during class from our add on menu. There are also many fun places nearby to grab a coffee or cocktail or meet up for lunch before or for dinner afterward. Ask us for recommendations.

Cookie Allergy Disclaimer: Sweet Dani B cookies are preservative free and are baked with the freshest ingredients... butter eggs sugar flour and a few secret ingredients that make them extra yummy. Our recipe does not include nuts but our cookies and icing is made in a kitchen where nuts are present. In the workshop we will be using various candies to decorate our cookies some of which originate in facilities that process nuts. Our royal icing is made with sugar and meringue powder.

Refunds: Due to limited seating and the individual prep work required for each cookie icer in attendance our cookie workshops are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend you are more than welcome to transfer your seat to someone else. Alternately we can decorate your set of cookies for you to pick up at a later date. Please let us know what you prefer.
