So You Want To Be A Chef or Open a Restaurant?

Ever wondered, or are seriously thinking about becoming a Chef or Restaurant owner? Or perhaps you are one and are keen to learn more about the industry to advance your career or venue.

Chef Malcolm Richardson has been in the industry for over 30years and has worked with some of the biggest names in food. As the Executive Chef for one of the worlds largest hotel groups, a business owner and now in retirement working with the who's who of the industry at festivals and events, there is very little of the food industry he hasn't experienced.

In this afternoon event, you will learn about

Along with the above, you will have the opportunity to hear from some of the industry icons. There will be a chance to ask your questions and even some role play for a little fun.

The aim of this event is not to scare people away, but to show them that being a Chef or Owner is not all that you see on TV. There is hard work in every aspect of the industry, and we aim to give you the tools you need to be prepared for what lies behind the doors.
