So You Think You Can Zine? Workshop

Presented by Bones & Beetles Zines: trying our best and crying about it since 2023.
Attendees learn about the history of zines, as we highlight how it is interwoven with social movements. Guests will take a zine home summarizing the presentation, and afterwards they will have free rein to make their own zine masterpieces! While they are working, helpers will walk around to assist with this mixed-media project. While attendees are working, we like to point out the accessibility of this art form, as we use materials that can be found for free/easily available. When all is done, we like to invite participants to do a show and tell of their zines, where we can all marvel at their amazing work.
To make our workshops as accessible as possible, we do make pre-folded blank zines for anyone who may struggle with that.
