THE SNAKE DAVIS TRIOJOHN THIRKELL, SNAKE & MARK CRESWELLWe're absolutely delighted to bring you this trio. Snake is joined by long time friends John Thirkell and Mark Creswell. John Thirkell is one of Britain's top trumpet and flugelhorn players. Since the 1980s he has played on hundreds of pop, rock, and jazz recordings, appearing on 22 No.1 records. He was on at least one album in the UK charts continuously for more than 13 years and in 2009 he had 2 consecutive UK No. 1 singles with Pixie Lott. Bruno Mars "Uptown Funk" was his 22nd UK No.1. His tours have included Swing Out Sister, Lisa Stansfield, Jamiroqui and Buddy Rich. All three met at Leeds College of Music and have been friends ever since.Mark Creswell, virtuoso guitarist makes a welcome return to the Snake family playing Spanish guitar in this line-up. You may have witnessed Mark performing with some of Snake's other line ups and he's also a successful song writer. The three together play beautiful tunes, soulful, jazzy, emotional, moving. The choice of material reflects their collective love of strong and moving melodies. Expect Brazilian jazz, Miles Davis and some well loved tunes such as Time after Time and Wichita Lineman.
